Meet Coed Carie Nicole, a student from Akron, northern Ohio. She’s got blonde hair, jade-green eyes and long lashes, and she was Coed of the Week in August 2011. “I grew up in Akron,” she says, “and I went to a private Catholic high school. We wore uniforms, but I was a theater kid, and I broke the rules wherever I could. I was teased in high school, but none of that matters now – I’m a Playboy model, and I’m proud of who I am inside and out.” A marketing student at the University of Akron, Carie hopes to become a successful fashion model, but she takes the occasional women’s studies course to keep abreast of the issues. She may look like a princess, but Carie loves fried chicken and beer, and she can quote Bill Burr like she’s up against a brick wall. She’s a metal head, and her favorite bands are Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. “When I was in high school, my locker was covered with pictures of them,” she admits. On Thursday nights she heads to Thursday’s, a local bar, where she gets out of hand with her friends. “One of us always ends up losing it,” she says, laughing. She loves to travel, and when she’s in Los Angeles she parties with her new friends at the Playboy Mansion. “I tried out for Playboy after a bad breakup,” says Carie. “My ex had a thing for brunettes, so I went to the salon and had my hair bleached. Two weeks later, there was a casting call in Columbus.” Everybody knows that blondes have more fun, and Carie is having a lot of it – she can have any guy she wants, and her ex is a distant memory. “I’m a little unconventional,” she says. “If you ask me out to dinner, I’ll engage you in heated debate over dessert. I think that men and women should be equal – unless I’m walking down the aisle in a white dress, I can get the door.”
