When asked if the glass is half full or half empty, Playmate Jennifer Walcott stifles a giggle. “Half full, of course,” she says. “Look on the bright side!” With reddish-brown hair, brown eyes and an irresistible smile, Ohio-born Jennifer takes her can-do attitude wherever she goes – and from the lead in a high-school production of Swan Lake to glitzy Miss Teen pageants, all the way to the Playboy Mansion, it’s clear that Miss Walcott can do just about anything she sets her mind to. “After finishing high school, my boyfriend moved to Los Angeles,” she says. “I came out there to visit him, and I realized that Los Angeles is the place where dreams come true.” Jennifer packed her bags and made the cross-country trip to California, where she modeled and acted for more than three years – and then, one fateful night in 2000, she was invited to Playboy’s Midsummer Night’s Dream party. “I had to pinch myself,” she says. “For a girl from small-town Ohio, this was a dream come true!” At the party, Jennifer caught Hugh Hefner’s eye, and the rest, as she says, is history. “Being Miss August 2001 was amazing, and I’ll never forget it,” she says. “I was the main attraction, and I felt like a star!” When she’s not in front of the camera, Jennifer’s more than just a pretty face – she lends her big heart to her local veterinary clinic, where she volunteers with sick or injured animals. Married to a former NFL player, she co-owns a hair salon in Los Angeles and writes poetry in her spare time. “I’m a motivated person in life and in business,” says Jennifer. “Anything is possible!” For a bright, sunny girl like Jennifer Walcott, ‘anything’ takes on some pretty fabulous dimensions.
