Amanda Rushing was born and raised in the small-town Del Rio, Texas, where songwriting played a big role in her upbringing. At the age of 18, the blonde beauty moved to Hollywood to take her hobby to the next level. Miss Rushing was lucky enough to write music for The Gap Band and watched as her work made it onto the top 40 Billboard R&B chart. But, all-natural Amanda wasn’t done there. She wanted to take over the modeling and acting world as well. “My typical day is getting up with a cup of coffee, taking care of my daughter and going to auditions,” giggles Amanda. Along with becoming our Cybergirl of the Week for September 25, 2000, Amanda also landed a role in a Steven Seagal film where she played the leading man’s girlfriend. We couldn’t be more proud to call her our first-ever Cybergirl of the Week.
