Do it all with Karin Taylor, our Miss June 1996. Tall and slender, with warm, chocolate-brown eyes, Karin was born in Jamaica and raised in Orlando, Florida – home to sunny days, sandy beaches and most notably, Disney World. “My motto is, if your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to it,” says Karin, flashing her trademark smile. “I’m just two self-help books away from being perfect!” All kidding aside, Karin’s can-do attitude has served her well – though her father was a former Disney executive, she earned a job as a dancer in Cinderella’s ball on her own merits. “My ambition is to always achieve,” she says, “and to bring love, peace and hope to all I meet.” Karin’s peace-and-love campaign took her all over the world – signed by legendary modeling agent Michele Pommier, she became an international model. Catching Hef’s eye, she made a stop on her world tour to become a Playmate. “I’m compassionate and utterly affectionate,” says Karin. “In my life, as well as my work, these traits are just a part of who I am.” As our Miss June, Karin traveled to Africa, posing with fellow Playmates for the Playmates on Safari pictorial, and won a role on the hit series Baywatch. “I’m tired of being a clothes hanger,” she jokes. These days, Karin is much, much more – the mother of five children, she writes a blog on the joys and challenges of family life, in addition to managing a charitable foundation. “My ideal man is always pushing himself to do the things he’s afraid of,” says Karin, who believes in chivalry and men opening doors for women. “My turn-ons are rain, the ocean and kissing – did I mention kissing?”
