Playmate Susan Lynn Kiger is an old-fashioned girl from Pasadena, CA who grew up riding horses on the surf at Laguna Beach. “I’m just a cowgirl,” says Susan as the sun shines on her golden curls. “I like the outfit. It feels great to wake up in the morning, pull on some jeans, tuck in a Pendleton shirt, and tug on some boots. It’s very physical.” Speaking of physical, our all-natural Playmate is very athletic and since its winter time, our Miss January 1977 has been spending loads of time on the ski hills where she’s the most competitive ski bunny around. “Après-ski? Are you kidding? At the end of a day, the only thing I can think about is going home, taking off my clothes and jumping into a heated water bed with my boyfriend. I want to get warm,” admits blue-eyed Susan. “Last winter, I took my savings and moved into a cabin at Mammot Mountain. Skiing is like everything else—the only way to learn is to do it nonstop every day. By the end of the season, I wasn’t half bad.” Our voluptuous Miss January 1977 has always been active, spontaneous and willing to try almost any activity. Many of her current hobbies are actually thanks to former boyfriends of hers who pushed her to do things they were passionate about. “A girl inevitably picks up a lot of her hobbies from the men she dates. I’ve been turned on to barefoot water-skiing, rugby, dancing and skinny-dipping in apartment swimming pools, not to mention a few things about sex,” laughs our Playmate of the Month. “I’m fairly uninhibited. I’ve made love in deserts and outdoor Jacuzzis, like any California girl. But, I prefer the peace and quiet of a bedroom. It’s more intimate and exciting.” No matter how proud Susan is to be a California girl, she admits that she isn’t too fond of the Hollywood crowd who she thinks give the rest of Cali a bad name. “If a man is old, rich and unattached, he's a pervert,” cautions our Playmate of the Hollywood men. “Take my word for it.” The model and actress has working knowledge of her theory after spending lots of time in Hollywood, thanks to her appearances on television shows like Starsky and Hutch, CHiPs and in movies like The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood and Galaxina with our Playmate of the Year 1980, Dorothy Stratten. Susan may be enjoying the spotlight and having fans asking for her autograph, but she cannot wait to take that next step in life where she can call a house with a horse stable home. “I plan to take the money I earn as a Playmate and invest it in land—my own piece of the earth,” says our hopeful Miss January 1977.
