Say hola to Amateur Berenice Garcia, a working model based in suburban Phoenix, Arizona. She’s three quarters Mexican and one quarter French, with blonde hair, wide brown eyes and full lips. “You wouldn’t know that I’m Mexican or fluent in Spanish, because of the blonde hair,” she says. “But my father is Mexican, and my mother is half Mexican and half French. When I was a kid, we moved from San Francisco to Guadalajara – it was hard at first, but after a couple of weeks, I was in love. It’s dirt cheap, and the food is incredible.” “I miss the beaches in Mexico,” she continues. “Arizona is all desert, and there are only a couple of lakes.” But Berenice loves the arid climate, and the high-end shops, restaurants and wine bars in downtown Phoenix. Speaking of dinners out, Berenice is single, and that’s just the way she likes it. “I can do what I want when I want,” she says. “I don’t have to tell anybody where I am or what I’m doing. And I like to take the occasional trip to Vegas with the girls – or stay in and indulge in a bit of vegan baking.” Berenice is an experienced model – she’s been featured in gentlemen’s publications, like Maxim and FHM, and in ads for a few major brands, like Hawaiian Tropic, Tecate and Captain Morgan – but this is her first time posing nude. “Playboy is a high standard, and they show a woman’s body very tastefully,” she says. “I’ve never done this before, but Playboy staff is so warm and welcoming, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.”
