Playmate Debbie Hopper is a sexy coed from Cleveland, OH, who has been studying at San Fernando Valley State College and hopes to make California her permeant home after graduation. A free spirited-girl focusing on where she wants to plant roots may seem like an oxymoron, but living a nomadic life throughout her childhood is not something she wants to continue as an adult. Our Playmate of the Month’s mother, a schoolteacher, moved the family around the globe, from Cleveland to London and even to a small Alaskan village of 150 people before settling on California. “My mother is working on her PhD in psychology and education,” proudly states Debbie who is currently studying philosophy, sculpture and more. “I'm also studying history, and I also work as a telephone operator for Pacific Bell.” Studying several different subjects can be a little daunting at times for the all-natural beauty with the long, dark-brown hair, but she says she isn’t certain which career path she wants to follow yet. “When you’re still undecided about what to do with your life, you have to spend some time alone, so you can learn more about your own psyche,” says petite Debbie who refuses to give up her individuality to be considered ‘cool.’ “People group together primarily because of their opposition to other groups, and later they may find that they don’t really have much in common.” Our busty and curvy Miss August 1969 has always followed the beat of her own drum and isn’t afraid to share her views with anyone, especially those ready to engage in a debate with her over them. “Sex should be totally spontaneous and consenting adults should be allowed to do whatever they wish,” says the beautiful brunette as she plays with her fringe. “A good relationship doesn't always need a long period of time to develop, and when you get zapped immediately by someone's charisma, your instincts are right more often than not.” Debbie’s instincts were on the money when she decided to take time away from school to pose for Playboy and become our Miss August 1969. “I love being a Playmate because I believe the human form is a beautiful thing and I am proud of it,” admits the busty brunette. “I know I can live without too many possessions, but happiness is what counts, and most people need a few nonessential comforts in order to be happy. I’d like to accomplish something that will benefit humanity.” Debbie Hooper’s centerfold is definitely a step in the right direction.
