Half-Irish and half-French, but completely gorgeous, Maria McBane bid adieu to her family’s small vineyard in Avignon, France as a child, but thankfully, she hasn’t lost her sultry accent since coming to America. “We settled in Detroit. My father had always had a certain flair for mechanical work, and he felt that the automobile industry offered the most opportunity for him to develop his talent,” explains the busty European with the sexy French accent. “No one seemed to mind the change in customs except me. For one thing, I had been drinking wine since I was old enough to lift a glass, and topping off a hearty meal with milk seemed positively primitive at first. Another thing I missed was the community folk dancing. Back in Provence, any feast day or civic event was ample excuse for the whole town to get together and dance all day.” Family is very important to the petite brunette, but dancing will always reign supreme in her life and when she’s able to blend the two together, Maria is over-the-moon. “My 14-year-old brother, besides doing very well at a technical high school studying electronics, is also a very talented, self-taught piano player who accompanies me in my dancing,” says our all-natural Miss May 1965. “My ambition is to become a professional dancer. I can't see myself making a living as a hoofer, but I would like to take a crack at operating my own dancing school someday.” While attending high school in Detroit, our busty Playmate of the Month joined a professional folk dance troupe made up of teenagers called Tambouritzans. Touring around the country with her troupe, Maria was introduced to the West Coast and it was love at first sight for the French mademoiselle. “When the group made its West Coast swing, I immediately fell in love with California. For a girl brought up in the sunny clime in France, California was just what the doctor ordered,” says Maria who has since used her Playmate paycheck to buy herself lavish boat. “I've already picked out an eighteen-foot day sailor to buy with the money I receive from my Playmate appearance.
