When I was very young, I sang in a talent contest, and I still remember how the audience's applause sounded to me. I decided then that I'd grow up to be an actress. Having acted in everything from school plays to a Bay Area TV dance-party show, the actress and singer had hoped breaking into movies would be easier, but shes come to realize that shell have to work in television for a few years before finally making that transition.
