Shanna Moakler

Playmate Shanna Moakler is a little competitive. Blonde-haired and green-eyed, with warm, dewy skin, she came to fame as runner-up at the Miss USA 1995 pageant and thats saying nothing of her Playboy centerfold. Born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, Shanna describes her childhood as idyllic. My family had a farm, so I always played outdoors, she says. I was a late bloomer, and I had a very boyish figure. I finally got some curves when I was seventeen better late than never, right? Not a moment too soon, either from there, Shanna started competing in the local pageant circuit, and in 1995 she was named Miss New York USA. Though she was first runner-up in the Miss USA pageant, she came in first at Playboy, and in 2001 was named our newest Miss December. I was fascinated by Playboy long before I ever got in front of a camera, explains Shanna. Playboy celebrates women, and thats something I knew I wanted to be a part of. With an on-again, off-again relationship with Blink 182s Travis Barker, not to mention a hosting gig with Entertainment Tonight, Shanna is never far from the spotlight, and thats exactly where she wants to be. Im a survivor, and I believe God is leading me in a better direction, she says. One of the biggest perks of being a Playmate is getting to hang out at the Mansion. All the other Playmates are so great its like I have a hundred sisters. Playmate status notwithstanding, we think Miss Moakler has it going on and on and on.
