Simone Eden may not look familiar, but thanks to her famous mother, she is definitely Playboy royalty. Mom and I are the first mother-daughter Playmates ever, and that's special, says our Playmate of the Month for February 1989. Thats rightSimones mother is Carol Eden, Miss December 1960. Mom Carol was a blonde, fair-skinned stunner back in 1960, and happily, her daughter is her carbon copy. Its clear that Playboy isnt the only thing our mother-daughter duo have in commonbeauty and all-natural curves seem to be hereditary in the Eden family. I've wanted to follow in my mom's footsteps since I first saw her picture in the magazine, when I was ten. Now, at last, it has happened, explains blue-eyed Simone. I couldnt be more excited. How does Miss December 1960 feel about her daughter paying homage to her by posing for Playboy and being our Miss February 1989? I couldn't be more proud, says a beaming Carol. Simone admits that growing up with her Playmate mother wasnt always easy. Mom was always working she was a model, then a nurse and I rebelled, says Simone of her childhood. I grew up fast, mostly on my own. I always told her I was going to be a Playmate, like she was. She didn't quite believe me. Now that I am a Playmate, we're closer than ever. The California girls went through their fair shares of trials and tribulations, but mom is very excited by the idea of her little girls accomplishment and hopes more Playmates daughters will follow in their mothers footsteps. I remember some of the fan mail I got when I was a Playmate, and the thrill of being recognized on the street, reminisces Carol of her golden Playmate years. I'm sure Simone will enjoy that. And I think she'll be a wonderful representative of Playboy. She's sweet, kind and so enthusiastic. Simone is a natural. If our first mother-daughter Playmate duo have proven anything, its that mothers, especially Playmate mothers, really do know best.
