Growing up in Washington, New Jersey,
Sherry Lynne White had two ambitions.
First, she wanted to serve in the Navy,
where she has spent the past eight years;
second, she wanted to pose for PLAYBOY.
Now she has done both -
which has caused plenty of waves.
After appearing in
PLAYBOY magazine's Grapevine,
Sherry was given a letter of instruction
from her superiors to ask PLAYBOY
not to print any more pictures.
"They gave me the Junior Sailor of the Year
award that day, and two hours later
they gave me a letter of instruction."
Instead, White contacted PLAYBOY
to do a full pictorial and turn up the heat
on a modeling and acting career.
Now with her discharge
under honorable conditions in hand,
it's anchors away for her life's next call of duty.
