Get to know Amelia, a lively model, and dancer. “I think my most notable characteristic is my sense of humor,” says Amelia, “I crack jokes left and right, especially once you get to know me.” Amelia Hails from the East Coast. “I grew up in Northford, Connecticut, a small farm town in New Haven County,” she shares. “I loved growing up by the water and surrounded by nature — I consider myself very lucky.” Now living in New York City, Amelia brought a bit of that vibe to her shoot with Point of Vue. “I think they were spot on in how they captured the Brooklyn aesthetic and vibe,” says Amelia. “I loved their vision and artistic style.” As for when she first came across the Playboy name, it was back in the day. “I found a few magazines in the back of my uncle’s truck,” she shares. “I was struck by the nudity, of course, but most of all by how brazen these women were — that sense of strength and confidence infatuated me.” Now that she’s here, the moment feels surreal. “It’s crazy to think back to that moment, having no idea that I would someday be one of those women.” When it comes to modeling, Amelia finds posing nude as a way of genuinely going inward. “I feel empowered. It [allows me] to connect with the sensual, erotic side of myself in a sort of sacred way,” she begins. “It allows me to access this side of myself where the focus is on me. I’ve discovered a lot about myself from these experiences.” When she’s not modeling, you can usually find Amelia doing other creative things or getting out of the city to be in nature. “People are always surprised to learn how outdoorsy I am.
