“Camille Rowe isn’t just a model. It’s not who I am,” says our April 2016 Playmate. Most known for her large campaigns for Louis Vuitton and Dior, Camille, a native of France, is proud to be joining Playboy. “You’re in the public eye as a model, but you’re rarely asked to speak,” she shares. “Now, though, people are starting to care what I have to say. It’s why I wore my own clothes and styled myself for this shoot. This was my vision, and it’s a proud moment for me.” Before modeling, Camille studied screenwriting. “I attended film school at the American University in Paris,” she says. “In high school, I watched Jin Jarmusch’s Down by Law, for the first time [and] I knew I wanted to write movies.” When she’s not working, you can probably find her riding a wave. “My mom is from Southern California and was mortified at the thought of raising children who didn’t know how to surf,” laughs Camille. “I’m no expert, but I love it. I love that it’s a sport that relies on your understanding of nature.” Learn more about April 2016 Playmate, Camille Rowe, right here on Playboy Plus.
