“Some words I live by? Be yourself and treat people with kindness,” says our December 2021 All Star, Julie Kay. Originally from Pasadena, California, and now based in Miami, Florida, Julie has been in the adult industry since 2014, entering at 20 years old. Now, at 27, Julie has built a flourishing career. Julie has many callings: a model, actress, poet, and fiction writer. “My passion? Writing,” she smiles. “When I realized I wanted to be a published author, I knew that was it. To reach people and tell a story they can relate to— that’s the impact I want to make.” As for what she’s like, Julie told us what truly makes her, her. “I’m a no-nonsense type of person,” says Julie of personality. “I’m very direct and have this tough exterior. On the other hand, I’m extremely sensitive and highly in tune with my emotions.” Which also makes Julie kind beyond compare. “Special talents? Being able to empathize with everyone,” she shares. “I love helping people in any way I can. I feel that sometimes it can’t even be taught. You have to want to have empathy for others.” Julie first heard about Playboy through the magazines and “The Girls Next Door” and soon became interested in learning more. “As soon as I was old enough to understand, I always saw or heard about Hugh and his Bunnies everywhere,” she recalls. “When I started in this industry, I never thought that I would get to [this] place. To have the opportunity to be a part of this brand is a dream come true for me.” Our ties with Julie are unique beyond being our December All Star, but we met her through the Playboy Plus model and producer Ana Foxxx. “My experience with Playboy thus far? Amazing,” says Julie. “True princess treatment.” When she’s not on a set, Julie can often be found creating content of her own on OnlyFans, traveling, exploring new restaurants, or doing what she loves the most: reading. “What do I enjoy doing in my spare time?
