“My passion is being as free as possible.” Meet Kazumi, a model and content creator from the Philippines. “I was born in Kuwait, but I’m from the Philippines,” shares Kazumi of herself. “My family and I moved to Los Angeles when I was two, so I’d consider myself a diehard L.A. native.” Kazumi loves where she calls home. “I love my city— you can be whoever you want to be! I’m a pansexual polyamorous Asian sex worker, and the doesn’t even make people bat an eye over here!” A true free spirit, the permission to show up as her full self is vital to Kazumi. “I want to enjoy my life without feeling like it’s conditional. I want to celebrate without limits,” she shares. “My passion? I want to share this experience with girls that look like me and do the same ‘dirty’ things as me. I’m very transparent about how much money I make, the surgeries I’ve gotten, and my insecurities; I want other sex workers to see the glass ceiling being broken again and again and ask themselves, ‘why can’t I do that too?’” For Kazumi, there is so much pride that comes from her career. “I’m proud of making my first million at 24! I never thought that could have been me,” she says. And posing for Playboy is just another stepping stone to where Kazumi is headed. “I’ve known about Playboy since I was [younger],” she begins. “I grew up nerdy like everyone else and always wanted to identify as one of the girls on the cover. Playboy, for me, has always represented the celebration of women. Being a part of something so culturally significant and historical doesn’t even feel real to me!” Outside work, Kazumi loves to spend time with her friends, cook, and explore different scenes in L.A. “I always say I’d try anything twice— I like to go to kink events. People are the best books, and I love to understand subcultures,” she says. “I [also] like to cook. I love to spend hours in the kitchen and have the people I cherish enjoy the fruits of my labor.
