“Some words I live by are, ‘what’s meant for you will be for you,’” says Polina, a model, stylist, photographer, and vintage shop owner from New York. It’s clear Playboy was just in the cards for Polina. “I first discovered Playboy when I was pretty young, seeing iconic celebrities on the covers and watching Girls Next Door,” she shares. “I obviously wasn’t buying the magazine till I got older. I collect the vintage ones now, and my apartment is basically Playboy-themed,” she adds with a laugh. We met Polina through her photographer, Madeline Northway, and had a great time working together. “I love that the whole team for my shoot was women. It was such a comfortable and empowering experience.” Currently based in Los Angeles, Polina is unapologetically herself. “I can come off as shy, but once you get to know me, I’m the total opposite,” she shares. “I have a sarcastic and dark sense of humor and a loud laugh to go with it!” Polina is curating pieces for her shop, making art, or her new favorite hobby: pole dancing when she’s not working. “My favorite thing to do is go thrifting and hunt for designer and vintage pieces,” she says. “When I don’t feel like leaving the house, you can find me pole dancing in my living room or doing something new to my studio space.” Get to know Polina better through her pictorials, right here on Playboy Plus.
