“I’m good at working under pressure,” says Playmate, Shauna Sexton — and she’s not talking about modeling. A full-time veterinary technician from Virginia Beach who now lives in LA, this gorgeous lady does both. Dedicated to her passion of helping animals, Shauna works in an emergency clinic and has been involved with animals for years. “I started in this field when I was 16,” she says. “After my first surgery, I realized fast-paced work under pressure is for me. I absolutely love surgery.” With that being said, she totally adores her time in front of the camera, too. “I don’t classify myself as a model,” she says, humbly. “It's so cliché nowadays. But modeling is my plan B; if it takes off, I’ll be stoked!” To no one’s surprise, her modeling career has taken off quite a bit, and when we asked Shauna to be our Miss May 2018, she was ecstatic about the opportunity. “As long as I continue to grow as a person, I’ll be where I need to be,” she says thoughtfully. “I really respect models and the people who hustle at it.” When she’s not hard at work at the clinic or in front of the camera, she’s usually in the gym working out her fit figure. In fact, she’s up at 5 a.m. every day for it — talk about dedication. “My dad was a CrossFit coach, so I was raised on it,” she says. “If I’m not working, I’m working out. A lot of exercises I do are related to Olympic lifting, but I make modifications,” she laughs. But staying fit doesn’t mean Shauna doesn’t indulge. “I’ll go to In-N-Out and not feel guilty at all!
