“There is something to be said for a person that just owns who they are,” says the self-assured Sophia Grey. A model, sex worker, and entrepreneur from Elk Grove, California, Sophia is a confident and passionate person. “I think it’s easy for people to look at someone and assume their life has been easy, but I’ve worked extremely hard to get to where I am today,” she says of herself. “I’m proud to have lived through hard times because it made me a much stronger person.” When it comes to what makes her ‘her,’ Sophia describes herself as strong, goofy, and a little nerdy. “I love to laugh and try not to take myself too seriously,” she says. “Although I probably look serious, I’m a really goofy person and a bit of a nerd!” We first met Sophia through her photographer, Madeline Northway. “I can’t remember a time I didn’t know about Playboy,” says Sophia. “Never in a million years did I ever expect to be featured in it!
